Wood-N-Strings Dulcimers: Mike and Connie Clemmer build some beautiful instruments in the Tennessee tradition and host the weekly Pickin' Porch in Townsend, just on the edge of Smoky Mountain National Park.
James Jones Instruments: James built my nifty travel chromatic hammered dulcimer (more notes than my big one, but fits in the overhead bin of the airline!) which has travelled the US and the UK.
The Dulcimer Shoppe/McSpadden Dulcimers: Begun by Lynn and Catherine McSpadden and now under the excellent tutelage of Jim and Betty Woods, this Arkansas institution builds wonderful instruments, several of which I've won in contests!

Bonnie Carol Custom Dulcimers: Bonnie Carol has been building beautiful mountain dulcimers in Colorado for many years!
Cripple Creek Dulcimers: Bud & Donna Ford's shop in Manitou Springs, CO (at the foot of Pike's Peak.) They host the annual Manitou Springs Mountain Music Festival the last weekend of August.
