Masters of the Mountain Dulcimer (Vol 2) - CD

Featuring 17 instrumental tracks from award-winning American artists (2 players are regional dulcimer champions and 4 won awards in the national dulcimer competition at Winfield, Kansas) and one from the UK, this CD is a sampler that expresses the diverse styles of mountain dulcimer artistry. Original and traditional folk tunes, hymns and classical and movie themes comprise the "sweet music" of this collection. The tunes are played in both fingerpicking and strummed style in both solo or ensemble arrangments. Noel New-velet, a French carol from Eulberg's critically acclaimed Soaring recording was the track selected for inclusion in this project. Susan Trump, a noted folksinger and dulcimer player, coordinated this project as the second in a series.
